After a battle with Leukemia, stand-up comedian Charlie Murphy has died. He was 57.
Charlie, who is the older brother of Eddie Murphy, is fondly remembered for his, "True Hollywood Stories" that appeared on the Chappelle Show where he described hilarious encounters with mega stars, Rick James and Prince.
Unbeknownst to the public, Charlie had been undergoing chemotherapy. He died in a hospital in New York City.
It's hard to believe that there is a generation of kids in the world that have never seen the iconic Prince and Rick James skits, and only know Charlie as "Eddie Murphy's brother."
Charlie Murphy is survived by his brother, Eddie and his three children. His wife passed away from a battle with cancer in 2009.
