Treasury Secretary Jack Lew announced that slavery abolitionist, Harriet Tubman will be added to the $20 bill with Andrew Jackson, who will now be on the backside of the bill.
Lew stated that Tubman's legacy added to the decision to include her on the $20 bill.
"What she did to free people on an individual basis and what she did afterward. That's a legacy of what an individual can do in a democracy..."
While many people are excited that Tubman will be honored by her image being placed on the bill, others are skeptical because of former President, Andrew Jackson's troubled past with Black slaves and Native Americans.
